Rose 'Bergamotte' (香柠檬) (1 Gal+ Live Plant) Shrub Rose

"Bergamotte" is a Kenyan red soil cut flower of unknown specific cultivator.

The rose plant "Bergamotte" stands at a height of approximately 110 cm, showcasing flowers with a diameter around 8 cm. These lemon-hued flowers display a dual-color effect, appearing slightly orange when exposed to sunlight. The petals are relatively thin, consisting of numerous layers, resulting in a round and bowl-shaped flower. Despite its name suggesting fragrance, this rose variety is essentially non-fragrant, a misinterpretation likely due to domestic translation. As a cut flower, each bloom boasts a relatively lengthy lifespan, lasting up to 12 days.

It's important to note that domestic information indicating a height of 70 cm actually refers to the official stem length.

The "Bergamotte" plants grow in a highly upright manner and exhibit moderate disease resistance.

The most prominent feature of this rose is its scarcity of thorns and its robust growth.

Plants received should be soaked in water for 1 hour then planted immediately. Small roses are recommended to be planted in a pot and larger roses are recommended to plant into the ground. Roses MUST receive direct sunlight, do NOT place in shaded or indoor, including balconies or near windows. Be sure your pots allow adequate water flow - water should be able to flow out the bottom of the pots. Watering should be done whenever the soil is not wet; check the soil with your hand near the roots to see if it is wet. Make sure your potted roses are elevated so rain water does not flood the bottom of the pot. Roses should ONLY be planted with loose flower mix for the first few months, no fertilizers or unsuited soil / mulch should be used until the rose is able to grow leaves.
