Chinese Rose 'Yinghe' (颖荷) (1 Gal Live Plant) Shrub Rose

Yinghe is a type of rose cultivated by Kang Liyun. In the 2019 World Rose Intercontinental Conference and the Ninth Gold Award, Yinghe has both the shape of a rose and the appearance of a lotus.

The plant type of "Yinghe" is erect stems, 60 cm-70 cm in height, full-bodied, good uprightness, compact plant type, vigorous growth, outstanding flowering, and few blind branches. The flowers are self-cleaning very well, and the petals will fall off by themselves and will not end up withered on the branches to affect the viewing.

The leaves are oval to heart-shaped, dark green, smooth, semi-leathery, very thick, with deep veins, 3.5 cm-4 cm long, 2 cm-2.5 cm wide, with sawtooth edges. The flower shape is very round, and the opening speed is fast. It will soon change from a bun flower shape to a flat flower shape, and even if it is fully bloomed, the flowers will not turn outward.

Yinghe flower buds are lotus-shaped, medium-sized flowers, with a diameter of 8 cm-9 cm, flat flowering, hard branches, and flowers that do not droop. The flowering is extremely dense, the main body of the flower is light pink to white, the outer petals are pink, completely double-petaled, about 60 petals, the petals are sword-shaped, and there is no notch, the overall flower is light pink, carefully observe the petals, the main body of the petals is white Or very light pink, but the petals on the outer layer of the flower are faintly added with a little pink on the edge of the petals, which makes the flower more layered, just like a blooming lotus.

Plants received should be soaked in water for 1 hour then planted immediately. Small roses are recommended to be planted in a pot and larger roses are recommended to plant into the ground. Roses MUST receive direct sunlight, do NOT place in shaded or indoor, including balconies or near windows. Be sure your pots allow adequate water flow - water should be able to flow out the bottom of the pots. Watering should be done whenever the soil is not wet; check the soil with your hand near the roots to see if it is wet. Make sure your potted roses are elevated so rain water does not flood the bottom of the pot. Roses should ONLY be planted with loose flower mix for the first few months, no fertilizers or unsuited soil / mulch should be used until the rose is able to grow leaves.
